15 Cat Flap Installations and Surveys

We had a very busy weekend with Ged the cat flap installer having 15 installations and surveys, he even had a replacement hinge in central London.

After staying in Northampton on Firday night he had a couple of double-glazing surveys around the Hemel Hempsted area and then some actual cat flap installations.

The majority of customers purchased their own cat flaps, and Ged installed a couple of SureFlap and PetPorte microchip cat flaps, along with several Staywell 4 way deluxe cat flaps and a medium aluminium dog door in a brand new flat uPVC door panel.

We had plenty of enquiries from areas such as London, Essex, Surrey, Leicestershire and Birmingham.

Incorrect Glass Installations!

A quick warning for you regarding having new glass units installed, don't use silicone to fit the units! We had a customer contact us due to the failure of all their units, why? It turns out that all of the glass units had failed/misted/blowns due to being incorrectly glazed. Our glazier, Dave pointed out that each of the original glass units had failed due to being siliconed in place.

With the weather changing for the worse, we are having a large increase in enquiries and sales from customers with draughty windows, broken uPVC window hinges and leaking conservatory roofs.

We've had a busy week this week with an even busier weekend ahead!

We're got various cat flap installations booked in for this Saturday and Sunday – there's 12 to be exact!

Ged (the fitter) is heading across to Bedford later on today from the North West to do the first installation – it's installation of a customer's own cat flap into a brand new toughened, double-glazed unit in a French door. The survey has already taken place.

After that, Ged is heading to Letchworth and then Watford, where there's another cat flap installation into a glass unit and a "scribed" installation into an existing raised uPVC door panel.

We've got 4 orders for SureFlap microchip cat flaps in both white and brown – 2 are to be installed into uPVC doors, 1 into a wooden door and the other into a metal-skinned door.

We've not got any surveys booked in for cat flaps to be installed into glass this weekend – all jobs are actual installations!

Cat flaps which we have purchased are:- SureFlap microchip cat flap, Big cat/small dog flap and Staywell 4 way deluxe cat flaps.

Areas covered will be:- Birmingham, Bedford, Letchworth, Watford, Chesham, High Wycombe, Reading, Chertsey, Wimbledon and Northampton!
